Wellfleet Raw Bar FAQs
There is no minimum headcount, however there is a $1200 dollar minimum for each event, so if you are hosting a small gathering please be aware of this.
What you would like to include is totally up to you and your guest’s preferences. We generally suggest ~3 pieces of shellfish per person, but every event is different! Once we start the planning process we work with our clients to ensure they have the optimal raw bar for their Cape Cod event.
We like to start our planning well in advance, but a final headcount is necessary a week before your event.
Once we finalize your raw bar, we will email over a contract that is returned with a non-refunable deposit. We have automated this entire process for your convenience. The day of the event, the remainder of the balance is due.
There is a 7% meals tax required by the state of Massachusetts, which we include in the final bill. Tips are not included, if you wish to reward the shuckers, it is greatly appreciated!
This depends on the type of event and amount of shellfish we will be shucking. The average raw bar is about 2-3 hours from time of arrival, setup, breakdown, and removal of all trash.
We understand that plans change and things come up. Your deposit is non-refundble, but if a booking needs to be canceled we must be notified at least two weeks in advance.
Yes, we are fully licensed and insured. All of our shuckers are food handler and allergen certified as well. Our bartenders are TIPS certified.
